Forensic Expert: 'R Kelly Sex Tape Is Real

A forensic expert has told a Chicago court that the sex tape at the centre of singer R. Kelly’s child pornography trial is “real,” after finding no evidence that it had been tampered with.

The R&B star is accused of videotaping himself having sex with a 13-year-old girl and is currently standing trial on 14 counts of child pornography. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Kelly's defence team has previously claimed the singer could have been digitally "morphed" into the video footage using special effects.

But, during his testimony at a Chicago, Illinois court on Thursday, FBI forensic video expert George Skaluae told the jury that after examining the film, he found it to show "real people in a real environment".

Skaluae went on to tell the court that he had previously been asked to look at the tape, after it had been retrieved by the Chicago Police Department in 2002.

He explained that he'd found the tape to be "a copy, several generations away from the original".

A number of hidden "switch points" indicated the tape had been duplicated at least three times, resulting in the deteriorated quality, he said.

Skaluae added that it would have been "very difficult and time consuming" for someone to digitally alter the tape to show Kelly in the footage.

He told the court: "If it is not done well then it is going to be detectable.

"Sometimes we look at effects in movies and laugh and say, 'That doesn't look too good'. Those may have taken months or years."

Kelly has pleaded not guilty to 14 counts of child pornography and maintains the man in the tape is not him. The alleged victim, now 23, has also denied she is the girl in the footage.

The trial continues.

Songwriter, singer, actress, comedienne, and matriarch of country music June Carter Cash was born Valerie June Carter in Maces Springs, VA, on June 23, 1929. Taught by her mother (the legendary Mother Maybelle Carter of the Carter Family) to play autoharp, June entered the limelight in 1937 tattle with her sisters Helen and Anita, finally performing as the Carter Sisters afterwards the death of June's uncle A.P. Her ripe sense of humour and speedy wag prompted June to perform funniness skits and monologues during the show, and light-emitting diode to a bangle recording of "Baby, It's Cold Outside" with country comics Homer & Jethro which finally hit number nine-spot on the country charts in 1949.

In 1952, Carter married Carl Smith, with whom she performed at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry, and their daughter, Rebecca Carlene (later to record under the mention Carlene Carter), was born in 1955. After their disjoint in the late '50s, Carter was managed by Colonel Tom Parker and toured with Elvis Presley, and while living in Nashville, she met and briefly marital local constabulary officer Rip Nix with whom she another girl, Rosie. Although Carter dabbled in performing during the '50s, she returned to the musical stage in 1961 when the Carters joined Johnny Cash's road show up. Rumor has it that Cash had unbroken an eye on June since her appearances with the Carter Sisters in the other '50s, commenting, "I'm expiration to marry that girlfriend someday" (contempt the fact that both of them were silent married to other people at the time). In 1963, Carter co-wrote the song "Ring of Fire" with Merle Kilgore, which Cash (purportedly June's inspiration for the song) took to number i. Their Grammy-winning couple "Jackson" came true when Cash and Carter "got married in a fever hotter than a peppercorn sprout" in 1968. Cash has long credited June for forcing him to stir his addiction to amphetamines and encouraging his spiritual development, locution, "she is the person responsible for me silent being alive. She came along at a prison term in my sprightliness when I was going to self-destroy." Another Grammy (for "If I Were a Carpenter") and the parturition of Carter's third child, boy John Carter Cash, followed in 1970.

June Carter Cash left the spot for most of the '70s and '80s, stating, "I worked with John, only I had sufficiency sense to walk just a lilliputian shipway behind him. I could have made more than records, only I precious to take a spousal relationship." She did, however, write deuce autobiographies (1979's Among My Klediments and 1987's From My Heart) and likewise did some performing, notably on Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and alongside Robert Duvall in The Apostle. She did eventually return to transcription, cathartic a collection of both traditional family line songs and Carter Cash originals entitled Press On in 1999 which won a Grammy for best traditional folk album. Johnny Cash's health seemed to deteriorate end-to-end the '90s just as his career went through a renascence, and many fans were shocked when June Carter Cash died suddenly on May 15, 2003, next complications from spirit surgery. Given the fact that she had remained patently stone solid as he got weaker and weaker, it seemed as though Johnny might go across on, only Carter Cash would live perpetually. Luckily, she does live on today; through the children she raised (many of whom stimulate suit musicians themselves), through her penning and appearances on photographic film, through the contributions she made to her husband's life, and well-nigh intelligibly in the music she left behind.

Friend believes Ledger was anxious

Friend believes Ledger was anxious

A close friend of the late Australian actor Heath Ledger has said that he was anxious over the Christmas holidays about not seeing enough of his two-year-old daughter and his split with actress Michelle Williams.
The 28-year-old actor was found dead at his New York apartment on Tuesday; results of an autopsy conducted yesterday were inconclusive.
Reuters reports that in an interview with the West Australian newspaper, model Sophie Ward said that Ledger was worried about his split with actress Michelle Williams and their daughter Matilda during his Christmas holidays at home in Perth.
During the interview, Ward said: "We went to the movies and just did normal stuff... but he was a bit edgy. He couldn't really relax."
She continued: "He said he was going to London but was quite upset because he couldn't see his daughter as much as he'd like to. He was travelling so much and I think he was just frustrated with it all."
"He was clean and wasn't drinking any alcohol or taking drugs," said the model.
She added: "He smoked cigarettes, but that's about it. He was drinking diet Coke when we were together and he said he was very committed to not drinking alcohol. I don't believe he took his own life deliberately."
Police are treating Ledger's death as possibly drug-related and said sleeping pills were found close to his body.
But a spokeswoman for the medical examiner's office said on Wednesday that an autopsy had proved inconclusive and further tests were needed - which could take around 10 days.
The West Australian newspaper says that before Ledger returned to the US from Perth, he left a message with the film editor of the newspaper, thanking the media for leaving him alone.
He said: "I don't know whether it's a conscious thing or an unconscious thing, giving me space and respecting my privacy. It's just been awesome."
He continued: "I've had the most beautiful time back here and being able to see all my friends and family ... It's really enabled me to be a boy again from home and feel like I'd never left. It's truly been an incredibly therapeutic and a much-needed trip home..."

Formed in 1998 as a former position project by longtime Unleashed guitar player Fredrik Lindgren (wHO here goes by the palm of Freddie Eugene for some rationality), Terra Firma is a greco-Roman, up-tempo stoner/doom metal jazz band based in Stockholm, Sweden. Also featuring bassist Nico Moosebeach, drummer Izmo Ledderfejs, and isaac Bashevis Singer Lord Chritus of Count Raven fame, these Scandinavian scene veterans made their debut with an eponymous waiver through the Music Cartel in 1999. Understandably, accomplished and professional given its key players' considerable feel and stock, this was followed by 2001's evenly impressive Harms Way.
